I love red hair, but I wanted to try and make it natural-ish. So I bleached the top part and colored it with a mix of shades eq (the demi-permanent color line we use). I used 06AA and 06R with the red kicker and got this. Oh yeah, I started with level 2 neutral and I lightened to a 6 ( Reddish-orange to red (kinda image heavy) ) . </a> what do you think? upgrade/downgrade? 4 Murders| I killed them

However, now I'm considering blond. I'm kind of going through some emotional growth and I feel like something different would be really nice. So help me get an impartial perspective on a color that suits me best! I'm thinking an ashy or platinum blond because it makes my skin look like porcelain and my hazel eyes really pop. My natural dark brown brings out a lot of yellow and green tones in my skin and does nothing for my eyes. I didn't dye my hair in between, it just looks different on different days/in different light. I sought the opinion of MRH, and got tips for the best way to bleach hair yourself. I also talked to stylists and did some online research. I bought the supplies from Sally Beauty. I was blonde in time to be Lady Gaga, and my hair isn't TOO much the worse for wear! I mean, it's obviously been damaged, but it was damaged before, and I've been deep conditioning a couple times a week, which helps a ton. ( Going Gaga ) Anyway, thanks for the help/advice! I'm pretty pleased with my work (even if it isn't truly platinum yet)! My friend, who had natural/virgin black hair decided to go blonde, too. I don't have pictures of that, but hers could definitely use a 4th bleach process to get it platinum, but she decided she doesn't really want it platinum, so... 6 Murders| I killed them

Light Orange Hair to Blonde. Help, please. ^.^ [12 Nov 2009|10:00pm] madradhair [sillychibi] Hello, Everyone! I'm planning on bleaching my hair from an orange-brown to Blonde. I was thinking I would just use RAW White Out, since I've used it twice already, and it's always worked out really well. Only thing I was wondering - do I need to strip the orange out of my hair first, or can I just put the bleach then toner in? This is what it looks like right now: That is a bit old, so it's lighter now, but not by much. How I got that was I had Brown in my hair, and I stripped that until my hair was yellow-orange. Then, I put the orange-brown color in. It was FAR more orange when I first did it, it just faded a lot since then. Alright, SO! Please tell me what I should do. Also, please don't tell me not to Bleach my hair >.< I know it's not good for your hair. I don't mind, I just want to know if I should strip it or if just bleaching will work fine.
